wheel spacers for my 1968 c10 stepside
I am planning on installing some 2001, 20" Chevy Tahoe wheels on my 1968 Chevy C10 step side. The lug pattern is the same but I have read on this forum that the hub size is larger in the 68 than the 01 and the backspacing is
2" further back in the 01 than it is in the 68. I am thinking about installing a 2" when spacer behind each 01 wheel. I think that would solve the backspacing issue and I think would bring out the 01 wheels so the 68 hub size won't be a issue. Has anyone done this to make a 01 or later wheel fit on a 68? |

Re: wheel spacers for my 1968 c10 stepside
I put on 2013 Avalange wheels on manual drum brakes 1970 chevy and used 1.5" spacer. I haven't tried them with disk brakes. When you order your spacers, ask the seller if they will supply the old sized lug nuts too (7/16"). The new wheels will want M12 or M14 lug nuts. Check before you order the spacers.
