Transmission cooler lines?
Ok i am to the point of installing the trans cooler lines and need some opinions. Metal or rubber? I have looked over the FAQ's and found nothing on this.I am running a 700r4 and i have no idea on size of hose or fittings. If i did go with the rubber hose what fitting could i use to connect to transmission. Right now I have nothing so any help, do's and dont's would be great. Oh i am running an external cooler.

Re: Transmission cooler lines?
I am running the same 700R4 trans. Here are the parts I used when I installed it:
- Hayden trans cooler- plate- 679 - (2) 48” hard brake lines 5/16” - the hard line adapters are 5/16" 1/4"NPT and look like this I always limit my rubber hose usage because it deteriorate over time, whether it be trans or fuel lines. I did run the rubber hose right where it connects to the trans cooler. Just slip it over the hard line and hose clamp it tight. Boucher'
