Need help decoding paint from spid.
Hello. Im looking for help decoding paint on my 1972 GMC suburban. Spid sheet says 4001cb Paint. A two tone. Its really light blue, with white on top only. It doesnt look anything like medium blue or other blue offered for 72. I buffed a spot in door jam, and looks lighter. Also checked on back of glove box door. Sorry I have no pictures at the moment
Thanks, Tony |

Re: Need help decoding paint from spid.
The RPO number is for special paint on your SPID. Unfortunately most of the time that does not indicate the actual colors on your vehicle. However it could very well be a GM color from about that year off a carline or it could be one of the hundreds of fleet colors offered. Best bet is to find and match original paint areas on your truck. Did you post the SPID up in the Suburban thread?
*Post Your Pickup SPID* *Blazer SPID* *Suburban/Panel SPID* Wander around here and see if anything looks right. http://paintref.com/cgi-bin/colorcod...=1972&manuf=GM
