If you are giving yours away then I paid too much I guess you live and learn. I wanted to put this in the dash and put a nice system in the glove compartment, so it is hidden. I paid $37.00- way too much eh? Guess I should have asked here first!

That is probally about right. I just pull them out of the parts truck, and get rid of them. I have two for my trucks now, and have no need for any more. that is why I just gave that one away. dont fell bad. you got a good deal IMO. Landon.

I'm working to make my truck all "69" right down to the listed on the glove box AM radio. If your new radio works, all the parts are there and the chrome is as good as it looks in the picture...... I'd have paid that much for it just to save the hassel of working on it. I have three that I have aquired to combine into one cause when I was looking for a radio, I couldn't find one complete that looked like yours and worked!!! I'd say you did just fine!!!

$37.00 doesn't sound bad to me! Especially if it's as purdy as it looks.

Thanks guys! I guess I don't feel to bad now. Are those knobs original? I thought they might have had a chrome center look?? How do I go about hooking this up just so it lights up when on, but my REAL stereo will be in the glove compartment (I will have a remote to operate the real radio) I saw someone that had put their radio in the glove compartment and it had a flush carpeted piece and the radio sat in that. It looked slick. Wish I had a pic!

Those knobs are stock for a base level truck. The CST and Cheyenne Super trucks had the stainless steel inserts.

Heck no. I'd pay that much for a near new stock AM radio if I really needed one.
To hook up, just run the wire fron ign unfused to the power lead on the radio. It'll light up when turned on, there is no provision for it being lit when lights are on or to dim it either. The knobs are correct. There's nothing wrong with getting stuff for free, but this old stock stuff really does have value and it'll only increase in value over time. Good score.

Thanks CPNE! I guess I just need to see if I can get the right knobs now. I would like the ones for the CST since that is what my blazer originally was. Thanks for all the imput! The guy emailed me and is sending the radio out today so hopefully I will post some more pics soon!
