Re: fuel tank
I've read that they won't work without serious mods to the floor.... Never tried first hand tho.

Re: fuel tank
Just bought the side fill tank for 67-72 trucks from Brothers. Comes as a kit with straps, tank and sender. I planned to use exhaust tubing up through the bed and a gas door style filler. I will have to fabricate a box to cover the neck inside the box.

Re: fuel tank
i already have one of those i was talking about the tanks that mount to the side of the chassis or saddle tanks for auxiliary tanks for extra miles when towing a trailer. i didnt want to put one in the bed but i will guess i will have to anyway because there is no safe way to do it on the sides. some of our trucks came with them but they are very hard to find.

How are they unsafe? I've known trucks with three tanks under the bed plus the cab tank hauling 90+ gallons. As far as used tanks, I've found them easy to find from about $200 to free, its all a matter of looking. The cleanest and easiest to install are the fender well fill style like Demcos.
