Grill shell total width & height??

Can someone please measure the total width and height of their grill on a 1969 to 1972 c10? I looked all over google for dimensions but found none.

I have a '83 k10 and I'm experimenting with the idea of somehow fitting a grill from a 69-72, fenders from a 73-80, and hood from 81-87. Will have to do lots of fabrication of course, but in my mind it fits!

Only thing I need to know is if a grill from 1969 to 1972 would be long enough.

Thanks!!

Re: Grill shell total width & height??

Come'om guys! It might be possible! I just need a measurement from one of you fine folks. I guess I could drive around until I see one and get out my tape measure and hope I don't get shot. Would rather not.

Here's my plan maybe:

and no, that crummy brown truck is not mine

Re: Grill shell total width & height??

Thanks MattPSU!

Wow, I'm surprised it's that long. The length for an '83 grill is 70" x 14.5".

I was worried that the older grill would be shorter! given that the total width of the vehicle is shorter. I was thinking that, if it was plus or minus 1 inch, then I could get it to work with a little fabrication, but plus 5 inches... wow.

I guess I could chop it. Would have to be a steel one so it could be welded back together.

hmmmmmm
