Windshield sag - door alignment difficulty

Hey all. Had my 71 jimmy for about a year and a half. Been dealing with rust. So far I have replaced upper windshield, rocker panels and a few other small rust areas. Went to try and align the doors today and noted that the upper door seemed to be hitting the windshield. Looks like the top of the windshield has sagged down a little bit. Any tips on getting the doors to align on these trucks or how to correct the sag?

I'm at the same spot. I heard the vent windows pull the door frame down just a bit. Are yours in or out right now.

Yes they are out. Perhaps I'll try popping them in real quick and giving it another shot

I believe your rocker boxes play a big role in this, are they on and if so in what condition?

They are in and from the looks they look ok. If it were the rocker boxes how would I go about fixing them? Are they the boxes themselves or the structures underneath them

Try putting a jack under the body near the rocker boxes where the frame mounts and jack it up a little (use a block). It's a common issue when you do a bunch of repair. If needed align the doors using this method then try to reinstall the boxes. There may be some play when they are removed. Are all the body mount bushings good? That can cause issues as well.

Have you replaced your body mounts? Did you have your hardtop on while doing the rust repair?
