Basic inexpensive engine bay organize/cleanup..
I've been wanting to straighten out under my hood area as it looks real shabby, and embarassing knowing I can make it look better than I 've let it look. Organizing wires, replacing electrical wires, plug wires, probably replace stock carb with better one, manifold, valve covers, etc. Give it a better look under neath I was considering a set of cheap headers when I go after the exhaust, just dont know which order to start in???

I second on the cleaning. Zip ties and some wire wrap, as well as some wire management will make that look a lot better.
Id stick with the stock carb or maybe a rebuilt one. Personally I love the QuadraJets on these trucks. |

Re: Basic inexpensive engine bay organize/cleanup..
Basic cleaning, split convoluted tube for the wires, paint, all really basic, fairly cheap and relatively easy. If you have a few bucks to spend you could change the air filter, add headers, aluminum intake. Even a serpentine drive setup from the pull-a-part isn't very expensive. Lots of pics and ideas on here!
