Side mirror parts

Looking for a vendor for side mirror parts. Did a quick seach online and found everything except what I have? I am getting around to the details and was attempting to replace the corroded hardware on the arm holding mirror. The 40+ year hardware snapped off clean on the passenger side. So I am looking for tha arm if that is even possible to purchase.

If you are wanting to replace the arm (90 degree mirror support) I would suggest replacing with the following:

I bought mine from a local off road & truck parts dealer, probably 7-8 years ago. Was $18.00 each then. Solid round bar stock stainless, tapped for threads at each end. No more rust at all.

Pretty much going to have to try and find used parts. The classifieds here might have just what you need. Or subscribe and post a WTB (want to buy) thread of your own in the classified section.

Might try your local dealer too. Parts like the acorn nuts were superceeded over the years and changed but were functional replacements.

The elbows/arms are fairly plentiful in junkyards on 70s to 90s trucks and vans. However, all of those I've found are solid stainless and tapped for bolts rather than having studs. GM van arms as late as 79 or 80 had elbows that are a little shorter on one leg and will place the mirror head closer to the door or lower depending on how you orient them. Some Ford and Dodge trucks had similar elbows into the 90s with dimensions closer to the originals on our trucks. I used the GM van elbows and 3/8" stainless bolts with the heads cut off as studs. I bought chrome plated acorn nuts which are closer to the appearance of the original acorn nuts (more of a bullet shape) than the stainless or zinc plated nuts to attach the arms to the mirror heads and bases. Of course, you could just use bolts for assembly. Your tripods are the 72 style, but that shouldn't be a factor. Below are pics of mine as well as a pic of an original 72 mirror for comparison.

Also, the mirror heads on many of the junkyard trucks are the same as ours.

Thanks for the offer 427bigblock! I searched the local junk yards and it seems every descent mirror assembly was gone. Then scoured the internet and came across a set on EBay. Aluminum but will keep an eye out for a good set of stainless.
