Replacing Wind lace

I removed my left door today and cleaned what was left of the old weather strip off. I washed out the door and put 1/2 piece of sound deadener on the top of the door and 1 on the bottom. The door now sounds like wood instead of a tin can. I also replaced the upper felt guide but will need to remove my glass later. I have a few pieces that are bad and not thinking I shut the door without the glass channel and door trim installed and broke the side window. I now wanted to remove the petrified windlace and install the new ones. Are there any easy ways to do this easily?
