3/4 ton disc/drop?

Hi,

I have a 1970 GMC 2500, I want to keep it 8 lug. I want to do spindle
drop and disc brake conversion.I have searched and found kits from POL and Brothers that have all the parts to do this. My question to the guys that have done this type of conversion is it better to buy the kit or piece it together?

Thanks

Use a C30 drop spindle, and Napa loaded spindles. It may be a way to get better parts are desired.

Loaded spindles? Or calipers?
Who makes a drop spindle for c30? I saw a belltech 3500 for 1975 to 91, will these work with if you change the upper/lower ball joints?

Thanks

I got my kit from pol. Crappy service and took for ever to get the kit. I am pretty sure everything is from China as well. They say you need a hard brake line kit but only one line "fit" after I bent it into a completely new shape. I will never buy from pol again. Good price but crap service and only ok parts.

85burb,

Thanks for the info. From what searched about POL, their spindles have a better quality than Airbagit. I was pricing out individual pieces and the amount saved is not significant vs the potential problems I might run into.

Thanks

ECE kit is a conversion to 1/2 ton brakes. I want to keep my 8 lug rims.
