Went camping this weekend

Just thought I'd share, the Wife and I (and the dog) all loaded up in the '68 and went camping this weekend.
loaded 2 dual sport bikes in the bed, the wife's XT225 and my DR650 and a small trailer loaded with gear. We went to Montana, the trip was about 120 miles, each way, over 2 mountain passes. The old truck never missed a beat! It got 14mpg and didn't use a drop of oil. it pulled the Fourth-of-July pass summit in 4th gear @65mph and had a little bit to spare. I figured this was all pretty good for a 2bbl 327 with points.
I wouldn't have traded this weekend for all the $80,000 motor homes in the world
Hope everyone had a safe and fun weekend, and thank you to all of the Women and Men of the United States Armed Forces, who make weekends like this possible for the rest of us.
