Drop spindles
Are drop spindles the same on 1/2 and 3/4 ton trucks? 1990-97

Re: Drop spindles
You may be able to use 1/2 ton drop spindles on a 3/4 ton if you swap ball joints. Not totally sure on that one though.

Re: Drop spindles
It depends on if the 90-97 are light duty 3/4 ton or heavy duty 3/4 ton. The LD version uses the same spindle as the 1/2 ton but uses 6 lug rotors instead of 5 lug. The HD spindles are different and use only 8 lug rotors.
With the LD version, you can swap between 5 or 6 lug with just a factory rotor change. To use these though, you have to use a 63-87 3/4 ton lower arm to fit the later model ball joint.
