Re: exhaust
Always behind the tires for me, and I have found over the years that headers with dual exhaust was a waste of time and money for a street/daily driver. Single 3'' for me

Re: exhaust
My truck had pipes exiting the rear under the bumper. When I installed the ece 5" rear drop the exhaust posed some interference issues so it got a crude chop just after the rear axle. I think the 40 series flowmasters are too much for my cruiser, but I do love the tone more now.

Re: exhaust
I have headers on 2 1/2 inch pipes with the H config. Glass packs just after the H and turned down to the ground just before the wheels under the bed. With the new engine build it's really loud with this setup. I'll try to get pics posted tomorrow.

Re: exhaust
I am going to have Dynomax Mufflers on mine with the pipes right to the back and exiting like the attached pics. The truck in the pics isn't mine.

Re: exhaust
I bought a mandrel bent aluminized kit from lmc for around $250. I think it was actually made by heart throb. I hooked it to the stock ram horn manifolds. With headers you would just cut the down pipes off. Sounds great, not too loud. Fit great after I figured out all of the parts were mislabeled side to side!

Re: exhaust
Forgot to add that they exit behind the far tire at a 45 degree angle. They also had a kit to go straight out the back.
The kit was for lbw or swb, you just cut them down to fit your wheelbase |
