1967 Parking Brake setup?
Good morning gents,
Can anyone advise whether a 1967 C10 parking brake cable setup will easily retrofit to my '63 SWB? I've seen all the great posts about converting to the 1966 setup, but I don't know whether the cable guide parts are available anywhere. It seems like those parts (long and short hooked rods) are readily available for the 67 models. I'd like to buy all new cables, guides, connectors, and brackets, but I want to know that my frame will have the same holes in the right places to hook the guides into. I'm bored at work with no computer network and nothing to do. My first post by i-phone... Thanks in advance Posted via Mobile Device |

Virtually all the parts you will need are available as new or you could fabricate the cable guides. Check my website HERE and look back to the 5/5/15 post to see what I did. Contact me by PM if you have specific questions or just post them here.

Ugh! I hate typing on phones! Third attempt at at reply...
Thanks 1963c-10, and lugnutz65. I've read thru Woogeroo's excellent write up, and I see that it says 1966-1972. I just find it strange that LMC lists the cable guide set for 1967-1972, but doesn't list one for 1966. I would assume that they're different. I think I'm going to buy a complete 1967 SWB setup, then post my findings. Then we'll all know for sure. 👍 Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: 1967 Parking Brake setup?
I pulled the e-brake setup from a 67-72 GMC truck and the front pieces were the same - PS rod connected to frame, 2 cable guides, center cable with connection pieces on each end to join up with the cables coming from the rear wheels.
Whatever you get, I'll bet you'll need to do a little fabrication work.
