Hello.
I now own my 1st truck. but no engine yet just the body and the wheel's and suspinsion stuff of a 68 GMC longbed. my step dad recomended that i register so i can read your guy's comments and post questions if i need to.

would a 454 bigblock chevy motor be good?

A guy i work with says his dad wants to sell their 454 bigblock chevy motor. it runs and right now its in a firebird he told me they want to just get rid of it and would probubly sell for 2 or 3 hundred. think my step dad and i should check it out?

welcome from the fire ravaged okanagan, I ain't no master mechanic, But I'll throw my 2 bits in were I can to help you out, that 454 for that kind of money is a good start, even if you don't deside to put it in you can always trade it for a sweet small block, good luck with your truck
