Re: Doing a 5.3 4lx0le swap, please help
I bought my engine and trans from a yard and they left the center plug and cut the others as far as the could. If you are going to use the under hood fusebox, you will need the other plugs. If not, they may be useful but might not be needed.
Check this site for details http://www.lt1swap.com/wiringharness.htm I have been following these instructions and they have been very helpful.

I have my 5.3l running with the under hood box. Takes a lot of the guess work and hack out of the swap.

Re: Doing a 5.3 4lx0le swap, please help
I used some engine brackets I got off eBay from kids-performance. They were just under $100 and they fit great. For the mounts I used the cheapest stock replacement mount I could get from autozone.
On vacation right now so I can't take pics. Will try and remember to take some when I get home.

I believe you can use the stock cluster out of a 90-91 suburban k5 and crew cab.The ac i believe you can have a shop custom make your ac lines and wire up the ac clutch should be good to go.
