Installing carpet
When in stalling new carpet I just found out that the carpet goes over top the heat sheild under the dash. In the back behind the seat does the carpet need to go under the gas tank or should I trim out around the gas tank?

Re: Installing carpet
What carpet did you buy? It's normally available in for in-cab tanks and relocated tanks. Sounds like you got the latter. The original only went to the front of the tank.
Edit: Actually, the original in my 69 with buckets didn't cover the area under the seats or console. I would not put it under the tank. It could affect grounding of the tank. My new carpet went to the front of the tank. Last edited by FirstOwner69; 07-19-2015 at 02:09 PM. |
