Anybody got pics of camaro/nova/chevelle mirrors?

Pulled these off my door for hole patch and paint and realized I don't want to put them back. Name: image.jpg
Views: 299
Size: 41.0 KBThey really ugly up the truck(IMO, to each his own) and I have another truck for towing so I'd rather just throw on some small mirrors to keep it legal. I thought about doing some peep mirrors then I saw a front pic and couldn't stop thinking about those Mickey Mouse hats. After searching mirror options all morning I decided I might like the camaro mirrors best but can't find any pics of what they look like from outside the truck. (Found one of an in the cab view) will the vent windows still work with them?

So anybody got a pic of the camaro mirrors mounted?

I'd go with a '69 Camaro mirror. They're rectangular. Although I suppose the 67-72 truck mirrors are circular....

I'm really liking the circle mirrors. I'm sure the rectangles are better for viewing but I don't really use side mirrors much. I always look over my shoulder and don't really trust side mirrors much anyway.

Then you'll want a 67-68 Camaro mirror, like the one posted in the pic, I believe.

Yea I think I will like them, I was just hoping to see a pic before I order. Also gotta know if I'll be able to open the vent windows. I have no ac and those vent windows are really great on hot days!

Not sure if you know this, but Classic Industries is having 25% off thru the weekend. Think you have to spend $250 however to get it.

Yeah, vent windows really are underrated. They actually work really well. I'll be in the same boat after I get my truck. Except I'm in Phoenix so I'm not sure how effective they'll be.

Thanks Vet, I was actually looking for the67-68 round mirror and should have mentioned it. That said those look good and might be an option. Can you open the vent window all the way, looks pretty close? I guess what I don't like about the original is the really long stem. Really nice truck vet!

Camera angle fools you. Vent windows open all the way just fine.

Just found this pic, looks like he's got plenty of room for vent windows. I think they look awesome!Name: image.jpg

Size: 101.1 KB style wise, I think these would be pretty hard to beat. I'm gonna think about it for a bit but I'll likely go 67-68 camaro. I'll check out those vet mirrors too.

Re: Anybody got pics of camaro/nova/chevelle mirrors?

You have to make sure to mount them in the right location. The idiot that mounted mine put them where the vent windows won't open much and the passenger side isn't even visible behind the glass run channel. So yeah, if you mount them right, the vent windows will work fine. (mine are rectangular, so no need for pics)

Re: Anybody got pics of camaro/nova/chevelle mirrors?

Oh, and the car mirrors need to be mounted up high on the door, not where the factory sport mirrors mount. Otherwise you won't be able to see out of much of the mirror.

Just my .02 , style wise the rectangular ones look like they belong on the gray truck. My vote is for them. What are they so I can order?
