Re: New here, 1968 C10
Well its a 1968 Chevy C10 Shortbed it has a 350/350 combo, engine has old headers, brand new hei distributor, brand new Taylor pro spark plugs, Lunati mild Cam, Edelbrock Performer Intake, recently rebuilt Holley 600 carb, brand new fuel pump, brand new water pump, brand new fuel reader. Moroso valve covers. Spectre air intake system. Transmission like i said is a 350 with a 2,800 stall converter. Non posi(thats next). It doesnt have a bed floor, i dont know if i want go put the original wood kind or get a plastic kind with an air bag suspension(thats way later though). All 4 tires are Mickey Thompsons (Front- 275/60/15 E/T street drag radials) (Rear- 29x15.15 Sportman s/r) All 4 on 15x8.5" Progressive Rims. Interior- just has changed seats, grey with light brown seats to go with the dark brown paintjob. Cluster is dark brown. It has both original black and yellow 1968 license plates!! Thats about all i can think of right now.

Re: New here, 1968 C10
Welcome! That's a nice truck, and looks like a great project!
Yeah, we have a lot of rust free trucks, but most all those had some of the worst previous owners who needed to drill 50 different holes for every aftermarket piece they found at the local parts store. |

Re: New here, 1968 C10
Didn't Madonna use that air cleaner in one of her videos in the 80's?
Not carping on you, just the first thought that came to my simple brain, so I thought I would share. Love the retro paint. Not my style, but cool.

Re: New here, 1968 C10
Idk man, would you happen to know what video? That would be cool to see it. Yea when I bought it it came with that paint job. I got it for 8k with alot of extra aftermarket parts, and small miscellaneous things for it, thats y i didnt really care for the paint, looks cool though, its a bit different than others for now.

Thanks! Yea im working on it little by little. Mine came with a bunch of dented holes on the sides of the bed, and cut off pieces of metal in the bed where the wood floor mounts right up to, the previous owner didnt know what he was doing, trying to install a bed gas tank. |

Thanks man. Yea everyone wants one of these in Cali, almost like a must have Chevy collectors item. Prices are high up here for them. I bought this one from a good friend of mine for 8k, came with a bed mount gas tank, 2 extra sets of rims(3 total), chrome rails and wood for the wooden bed floor(it doenst have a bed floor), and other useful miscellaneous stuff. Ive only put like $1500 into it since i bought it. So it pretty much looks the same except the engine dress up stuff with a tune up, and rims and tires. |

Great looking truck! 8k seems fair to me. I paid 7k for my 67 Swb and it wasn't nearly as clean.
