Need wiring help, pics!

So I bought an AutoWire OEM wire harness and need a little help, I have one extra taillight wire that I don't know what it is. I am thinking reverse lights or it needs to be peeled out of the harness. Also anyone know where the grey and pink wires for the factory tach get plugged in, I am thinking at the fusebox but don't know for sure. And is my 2 speed wiper motor wired correctly, thanks again.

The wiper motor wiring looks right, same as mine and it works correctly. The green wire is for back up lights on a '66. There would be another hole in your firewall below the existing hole if yours was a '66. I can't help with the tach wires, can't find a wiring diagram that shows a tach. BTW great job on your build. I wish mine looked as good!

Re: Need wiring help, pics!

On the tach just plug pink wire into the unfused left side of the 3 amp radio fuse. The gray wire is the dash lamp plug it into right terminal for panel lights. It just needs to be hot with the key on not all the time of course. The green wire is your backup wire and that is the 66 style harness. If you want backup lights I believe that connector just attached under the steering column area to a wire running in the dash when used an accessory. Otherwise just peel it out of the front to back harness.

Thanks Spud, so Hot Fun, in 65 if back up lights were ordered do you know how they were run.

Re: Need wiring help, pics!

Went down and snapped these pictures. The 65 accessory manual shows drilling the 1/2 hole 1.5" below tail lamp plug on firewall too. Otherwise you can see my dash wire ends in the two respective dash holes on a 1966.

More detail of my busy fuse cluster. I have a lot of accessories such as radio, tach, clock, cig lighter, and factory park brake alarm plugged in. Also second picture is inside cab of tail lamp wire and the backup lamp wire going through dash mat above gas pedal.

Re: Need wiring help, pics!

That helps, thanks. I don't know why I couldn't find the backup light section in my assembly manual, maybe because the way its put together is a disaster. Its like they took all the pages, threw them up in the air and then bound the book together.

Here is a pic of mine, I have this green wire I need to trace out, I think it's the backup light that needs to jump over to the firewall, I can't imagine it needs to be plugged in to the fusebox.
