Dad's 60 Apache
Here are a few pictures of Dad's 60 Apache, My youngest Brother bought it for him about 6 weeks ago. It sat in a pasture about 30 miles from home for several years. It has a lot less rust than most trucks like it I have seen in this area. I spent part of the morning helping them get his 84 1/2 ton donor truck running, from what they tell me a front cross member and rear axle swap is planned with 305/700r4 power.

Wow, nice truck! The rust isn't bad at all! Keep the patina, it looks fantastic, can't wait to see it together. Good luck!

Re: Dad's 60 Apache
Great looking truck, nice project! The '84 front suspension is a pretty cool upgrade. I just did that with a suburban front end on my '64 and it is a pretty straight forward swap on the '63 and up frames but there may be differences in the '60 frame.

Nice looking truck. That should be a sweet cruiser when you get the square body stuff swapped over to it.

Re: Dad's 60 Apache
Got a Little more done to the ole 60 Apache. Just got the 1984 GMC Front suspension in place, now to finish installing it. Anyone interested in the old 1960 torsion bar suspension?

Welcome to the forum. Put the suspension on the "Paying if Forward thread" Not everyone looks into all threads. I am sure it will find a home.
