Re: 6.2 swap in my 67 c10
There are several company's that build swap harnesses for all sorts of LS Engines. some are on the Cheap some get real expensive. there are guys that offer rework services on eBay as well.
Personally I would run a Holley LS engine computer, they have come our with a new setup that has pre programmed tunes that will get you started and you wont have to get your factory computer re tuned to disable the anti theft and other things such as emissions.... I am thinking Holley will not support the 6 speed though???? |

Sounds like I won't be able to put the 6 speed in my truck I wonder if a 4l80e will bolt up to a 6.2?

I would fab up a high hump if needed. Those 6 speeds are some good transmissions. Talk about gearing and some great milage in these light trucks

Re: 6.2 swap in my 67 c10
Sounds like a great swap to me. I would stay factory harness and computer and run the 6-speed. You may have to do some fabrication, but that will be a killer combo!

Re: 6.2 swap in my 67 c10
Yes the 4L80 will bolt up to a 6.2L in which case you can use the Holley stuff.
Size wise I am still not sure you would get away without using the High hump or modding the floor. The 6 speeds are great transmissions but they are Huge. If you can get it in the truck it would work great on a factory style harness and a good tune. |
