is this worth 1500 bucks???

Found on Craigslist. Not mine.

72chevy c30 tow truck. 350 and a 4 speed. Runs good. Has new battery. New headers new exhaust has nice alco wheels with good tires. I have I lot of new parts to go with it. Valve covers intake. Door seals power steering box. Dash pad. Would make a gear cruiser

If I saw that on Craigslist and it was close to me I'd be on my way to look at it. Looks like a great deal

Re: is this worth 1500 bucks???

will regular car insurance work as coverage? Or since it is a tow truck, I would need something else?

If you aren't going to use it for a business I don't even know that I'd mention that it had a tow bed on it.

At least double that, probably to most of use.
Is it worth $1500 to YOU?
That is a nice setup.

Re: is this worth 1500 bucks???

First thing most people forget is yes no smog But Calif is one of the highest states to LIC a truck in most of the USA

A 1 ton per year is 250.00 to 390.00 a year for lic I had my eye on a 1966 3 ton bobtail almost bought it until i checked on how much to Register and weight Fee's turned me off at the sum of 700.00 -- 850.00 a year and my 1965 3/4 ton was at 65.00 7 years ago now i'm at 144.00 a year and its been in the family form 1969.

Best thing to do when you go in to Register it take in a weight slip But take the bed off and run single wheels take the gas tank out get that weight down or you will pay for it for the rest of your life.

Or convert it to 1/2 ton

$1500 for a wrecker here is not uncommon.

What are your plans for it if you buy it?

Re: is this worth 1500 bucks???

I was in LA last weekend & saw this. Was going to go look @ it. He said it does have some rust mainly in the roof so I decided to pass. Not only the rust but the fact that I don't need a wrecker. I would have cut it up & thought it deserves somebody who wants it as it is.

The only way that isn't worth $500 is if the paperwork is bogus and it's stolen.

Nice find!!!!
