ok... who is the 60-61 guru?
I have a buddy who bought a 61 with a I6and a sm460, it came with a supposed built 305 and he wants to swap it, as well as install a 700r4. I am familiarwith the newer frames (63-72) but how do you go about ffittingg a 700r4 in that x frame? And will a square body cross member bolt in like it does on a 67-72 for disk brake upgrade?

The crossmember will bolt in just Fine. As far as the 700r, i think it should be fine but i have not done it myself. would require a custom Tranny crossmember and a High Hump floor for sure.

62 C10 frame is the same
Here's mine with 283/TH350 on 72 stands and homemade crossmember I think it should work. Good luck ~ rg |

I have a 350/700r4 in my 61. The low hump clears fine, but the PO put in a different trans mount/cross member

Re: ok... who is the 60-61 guru?
Bought me a universal tubular engine mount and trans mount and cut, fabbed it to fit. Powder coated and it came out nice. Sorry no pics on the engine mounts but I shorten them and made them like pedestals witch bolt on top of cross member..
