BB PS Remote Res.w/ Extension arm?
Usually I go into the archives and find my answers. This time I haven't found what I'm searching for.
I have a 1972 402 BB. I added PS as the truck was never ordered with it. I'm also in the process of adding an auxiliary battery. I read somewhere that an EXTENSION ARM is required for the remote reservoir when an auxiliary battery is installed due to the additional junction block I assume. Is this true? If so, does anyone have a photo? I may need to find one.

I think the 68s came with the extension or if you had the aux. battery. I can post up a pic later if no one else does.

Livrat.....Would you post photos of the junction block locations, as well as the squirts reservoir location on your truck?
I'm trying to determine the locations of these items.

John,
For some reason I totally missed your reply asking for pictures, Sorry. Unfortunately my truck is a "Mutt", I installed the aux battery tray but never did wire up the relay and junction block. Here are a couple of pictures of my windshield squirter bottle mounting, again I just located it where it seemed to fit and not to any factory specs. |

Although it appears the right side mount location uses a different bottle bracket. It looks like there's an "S" style modification to the right side bracket. Am I correct? Perhaps that style bracket is required to clear the inner fender?

Re: BB PS Remote Res.w/ Extension arm?
Now that you mention it, it does appear to be a stock truck bracket with a modification, I do believe it is a factory GM bracket but I do not remember exactly what car/truck it came off of, Its one I had laying around, At the time I built the truck I had built/parted a bunch of 67-69 Camaros, 64-72 Chevelles, ElCamino's and 70-72 Monte Carlos.
Maybe someone that knows what it came off of will chime in? |
