Jimmy - new addition to garage
Here's my new toy
2wd 1977 Jimmy. 59,000 original miles, local truck. Original paint, the truck is completely unmolested. Radio works , spare tire has never been taken out, manual is mint etc. Sat in a shed for a decade. Just got dropped with spindles and flip kit, new brakes all around, new master cylinder, new shocks, new ball joints and exhaust. Plan is to clean up a few things and enjoy. Biggest question I have is finding some vinyl for the driver seat as it does have a split. Last edited by wjjeeper; 11-08-2015 at 09:03 PM. |

Re: Jimmy - new addition to garage
Congrats! That last pic looks like Yezzi took it.
What is the cable hooked to above the trans hump? It looks like a vent or manual choke knob. |

Kudos for a great find! Last year for the low back buckets or transition year I think. SPID photo if possible? Love the interior upholstery.

Re: Jimmy - new addition to garage
Nice looking 2WD Jimmy. I have a '78 and it has "High Sierra" emblems on both sides about 6-8" in front of the rear taillights. Wondering if Canada did without those.

77 last year "low backs",and the rear floor/foot area was changed I'd watch those rear "High Sierra" badges, found one hanging out of my 79 at a car show, mine were ,since I'd wiped down the truck,I wondered if somebody tried to steal it,held in by barrel clips, now they are removed 99% of the time.

Looks great! Dig the poster, I've been using that pic as my login avatar for a while now, my favorite picture of him.

Re: Jimmy - new addition to garage
Here's some updated pictures of the interior. Got it wiped down and a few repairs done to the driver's seat.
