That's a great looking truck. You were fortunate to have found one that nice to start with. What's the story, was it an EBay find, or CL, relative owned?

I found it on a facebook site actually. It was sold in Nebraska when new. Some how ended up in Texas and now it lives in TN.
Very solid truck. It was originally Yellow and its got on the doors H.M. Dirt Contractors.
And its ALL there. Doesn't appear to have been abused at all and except for a dented fender i believe. its never been wrecked and it still has all its original G.M. stamped pistions and the cam still has its GM part number.

Re: my original 49 introduction

Wow! I'm truly impressed.

In my humble opinion, THIS is truly a "patina" I'd be proud to own. Not a rust to hell, neglected to near death truck. GOOD on you for the things you've done and the order you did them. "Make it stop, make it go, make it cool" is exactly what you did. Except it was already cool looking.

Dan I feel the same way. I just wanted to enjoy it like it came from the factory being it was such a great survivor.
And the "patina" is killer!.
Im not going to touch for a little while just drive it.
Then Ive got to figure how I want to go with it. Go for a bone stock original restoration or Hot rod the old girl. But not cut it up. and DEF not a s10 frame...
But maybe a mustang 2 front end. and a modern rear end and a good running small block.
IDK got time to figure it out.
Thanks for the complement
