Seat Belt Help
Anyone know where I can find original type seat belts for a 72 pickup that has a saddle tan interior? I've seen a lot of seat belt sites but I don't know what style (push button/lift latch) or length (60/70) were originally installed in the truck. Any help or recommendations appreciated.

Re: Seat Belt Help
Go to the vendors page and contact some of them, I figure the ine that specialize in our trucks will have the answer.

The original belts are year dated with a sewn on Tag and are push button If it were me I would put an ad on the parts board for a WTB You can search the Site with the Google box at the top of this page for "Original 1972 Seatbelts"

Re: Seat Belt Help
When I had my Pontiac restored, both for safety and cosmetics they re-webbed them in the factory color and then transferred over the date tags (could be illegal, for all I know, but it looks nice and I have new belts).
So, worst case, if you can find the ends you can have new ones made in any color you like, but presumably not the cheapest solution.

Re: Seat Belt Help
Unfortunately for me the interior had been stripped out of the truck and I'm just trying to get it back to stock. I don't know what was there to begin with so i have no idea what to look for on the websites. Some have different lengths and different latches so I have a challenge on my hands. I saw a set for a 71 in the for sale forum but they were black and I'm looking for saddle brown. At least now I know that they had retractors and there were three sets. Before I just thought there were only two belts. Anyway thanks for the info. I'm learning a lot!
thanks Craig

Re: Seat Belt Help
I got my belts at LMC. They have original style and aftermarket, several colors. I got the cheap ones and they look good. Here is the link, and yes they have saddle.
