looks like i have ordered my last part from CPP

ordered a set of shock relocators from CPP a week ago and they still haven't shipped them. ordered some parts from one of their competitors a the same time and already have those parts on the truck. sorry but there is no reason it should take a week to ship parts.

CPP has always been slow. If you want something from them see if Summit has them in stock. If they do most times ship same day.

Now that you mention it I had the same issue and had to call them to get it sent out. Yep PGSigns is right, Summit their fast. I'll have to remember that.
I'm in their area right now and have gone by their shop a couple times on Saturdays. Nice place.
I went by POL's shop this past Saturday and the Truck Shop both. Everyone of those shops (Even CPP) has great customer service people behind the counter.

Re: looks like i have ordered my last part from CPP

I think it should be a requirement that each new user must do a search on CPP prior to posting anything and as part of being a member if they must to by a CPP product they must do it via third party, IE summit , jegs, etc. or not complain about it. It would save a lot of repetitive threads. There must be hundreds of threads that say the same thing,

I got burned by CPP when I purchased my (part name here) and (cpp employee ) said.

(A) everything is in stock,
(B) it ships tomorrow,
(C) no one has ever said (______) doesn't fit
(D) Get a mechanic to install it for you, ( you don't know what your doing)
(E) it must be something with your truck they all fit.
(F) you must have broke it installing it wrong, these are heavy duty they never break
(G) all of the above

For some reason we all think the poster must have done something to PO them and that's why they get that response and treatment they get ,,,until it happens to you, I include my self as a buyer that was told didn't know how to install a sway bar. I tried to explain that you can't put a rear sway bar for a 72 C10 on the front end. but they insisted it was right. I only buy third party if its their part I need. They still get the money and I don't get the aggravation

This is the vendor review section. It's kind of what this section is for?

yes I agree , this wasn't point at you. Its just that there are so many threads on this sometimes weekly and people still buy from them it might prevent bad deals if it were more noticeable how they operate

Their a big company so they must be treating someone right but other forums say the same thing, they didn't care, they felt I put it in wrong, My truck must have been changed and that's why it doesn't fit.

I sense they have an "its them against us" attitude. get the money and tell them what ever makes the sale and tell them later is on the boat from china and the longshoremen in CA are on strike again but it will still ship tomorrow

Re: looks like i have ordered my last part from CPP

I agree with not buying direct, buy from a vendor that carries their stuff. I haven't purchased anything CPP in a while, but when I did I just got it from Frank (PICKMUP) He's a board vendor

Never had a problem

Re: looks like i have ordered my last part from CPP

I think CPP use to say 6-7 days was "normal", before any order leaves their facility.
They are no where near the level of Jegs or Summit Racing in service.
