Factory air shock options
I have an NOS air shock system for my Custom Camper, but I'm wondering if, like the big B-Bodies, there was a system available from GM with a compressor and ride-height sensor.
It'd make a lot of sense for a tow vehicle. Currently I'd need to air it up at a gas station or before leaving home. But I've never seen an automatic load level setup on these trucks, so I don't know if it even existed beyond what I already have.

Re: Factory air shock options
That's what I had. I didn't worry so much about psi as it was all in the stance for looks or clearance... BTW thanks for the memory, mine was also behind my pull down tag...

Re: Factory air shock options
Check this out for your shocks. I have this installed on my truck as we speak.
I did some modding to it though and added a push button to the gauge to operate the small compressor out back instead of the vacuum pump. I also ended up putting a nice small compressor under the truck. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=559816

Re: Factory air shock options
So was there a Delco PleasureLift (or whatever) setup with a vacuum operate compressor sold as an accessory for our trucks? Or what would your setup have been originally?

Re: Factory air shock options
Mine came for a Caprice Classic that my dad drove as a demo for GM then bought for my mom.
You can find them every now and then on Ebay. Here is one on there now! It's not cheap but it's NOS so he says! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Unit...BVtTO4&vxp=mtr

Re: Factory air shock options
This is a old thread but I was thinking this morning. I had forgotten I had this so it will be going in the Ramp truck soon to keep a eye on the air tank I mounted for pumping up tires and such. I want use the vacuum pump though.
Here are some current listings for these on E bay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/352097879305 https://www.ebay.com/itm/311922278019 https://www.ebay.com/itm/Remote-Cont....c100005.m1851 https://www.ebay.com/itm/UNITED-DELC....c100005.m1851

I ask my daughter was she expecting anything and she said no so I went ahead and opened it. Where these fittings you had left over from back when? I could use a couple of the rubber inserts and ferrell's that go inside the fittings. That's why mine wouldn't ever seal right. I'd be happy to pay for them.
