Lower control arms

Do they make lower control arms for my 63 chev truck which has been converted to 71 disc brakes with 5 lugs. I was wondering if they would be better than drop spindles. I have already installed 2 inch drop springs in front and 4 inch drop springs in the rear.

They make dropped lower control arms but first, a word of advice....

My buddy installed these on his sweet, original faded white paint , 283/3spd, swb, 1 owner truck. Picture an original looking white truck w/bright red solids & police car caps.... slammed. He also trimmed a little of the front springs when he installed them. It looked great..... but man those front spring pockets were way too low for my liking.

Fast forward.... he & I driving along down a side street by his house.... he's right behind me, & then he isn't....

It would seem the manhole cover my beater cleared w/o issue just hung the bottom of his control arm pocket w/enough force that it bent the frame & jammed all the sheetmetal together. Fenders into the doors.... cab corners into the bed.... you couldn't open the doors! The truck was a total loss. He bought another & swapped most of his parts over & swore he would never do the dropped control arm thing again.

That being said, LMC offers them for 67-87's. They have regular bushings like a car a-arm & attach w/an adapter that bolts in the original holes of the crossmember. When he got his years ago, it was through Chisolm Suspension (but LMC's brand looks like the same parts).

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.
