Another trip to Livrats pick and pull
So Mark and I struck a deal, and I bought all of his 67-72 truck stuff, even his GMC K20. Too much stuff to list really, many many crates of misc. parts from years of collecting. Bunch of NOS stuff. Long box bedsides a bunch of gates. He did keep a few items that he has to pick through for a project he is deciding on ... but when he takes what he needs Ill grab what's left of the left overs. My grand daughter went up with me to lend a had today. Stuffed the Scion full again. Will get back up there soon to get the rest. Right now though some of the stuff is frozen to the ground lol.
Ha Ha wonder how that happened? let me fix the pics And thought I had better say once again ... nothing is for sale.

No wonder gates are so hard to find, he has them all! Well that and I am from a farming community and even the new trucks are all bent up. Jim

Re: Another trip to Livrats pick and pull
Needs a little freshening up here and there. Mark does excellent work and this truck has been his workhorse for the last 20? years or so. Its running a big block 454. It will be the basis for my K20 project. Should be a fun project for my nephews and I.
There is actually a lot more stuff to pick up. Ill get some more pics when I get more stuff home and sorted. Was a little chilly out there to be snapping a lot of pics Haha

Mark can chime in if he wants to the specs on the truck or the goodies in the boxes if he wants ... It would be a lot of typing though

So in the end I had a big block 3/4 ton 4X4 that looked like a 68 GMC (I prefer the slant noses), with Air conditioning, tilt, open knuckle disc brakes, Dana 60 posi rear, the later springs and perches, I Used to call it "Ol Blue" since it was originally all blue until I found a 68 Chevy parts truck that happened to be Vermillion, Everything still has its original paint. It has been a great workhorse for many years that's starting to get tired (It has 100k miles on everything again) and due to other projects higher on the plate I had come to the realization that it would be at least 10 years before I could even think about its resurrection. So instead of just letting it set out in the weather deteriorating it was time to go. The "blue" picture is what it looked like for about 25 years, The "Callico" picture is pretty much what it currently looks like. |

Re: Another trip to Livrats pick and pull
LOL you probably know more about what he had in his stash than I do. Yeah its a pretty cool cluster. I believe he said it was built with mostly NOS gauges and it has speed warning too. Should be a good fit to my future K20 project.
It was a fun time for my grand daughter today. She was helping Mark empty out parts bins and asking him lots of questions about what all these things were.

Re: Another trip to Livrats pick and pull
Off the top of my head, I think there were at least three crates of seat belts, several of wiring harnesses, Air conditioning side vents, AC parts, K20 blue hubs and spindles, door handles, switches, interior handles, fuel valves, gauges, cluster bezels, a tach/vac/speedwarning dash etc. basically the tail end of 35 years of my truck world.

Re: Another trip to Livrats pick and pull
I drooled over that "Mutt" C/K2500 when I was there to pick up the C2500 I bought from him.
Nice rig! Gary

Re: Another trip to Livrats pick and pull
Picked up some more stuff today. Wasn't able to get the truck yet, my driver helper pooped out on me. So what can you fit in a gutted out Astro van?
A dozen Chevy GMC and Blazer tailgates. Couple of saddle tanks. A few bed fronts. A new 350 4x4 trans. Several 4x4 driveshafts. 4x4 power steering pump and box. A couple of milk crates full of very heavy stuff. And just a few pieces of window trim haha.

Re: Another trip to Livrats pick and pull
It was a teeny bit funky going around some of those big sweeping turns on the way out of the hills. Wonder how much weight I have back there?
