axle swap

I have a 2000 S10 blazer rear end, I'm wanting a 5x5 bolt pattern, is this as simple as just swapping the axles from the 5x4.75 to 5x5?

Re: axle swap

It's going in a 59 gmc, the front is 5x5 already.

Re: axle swap

Might be cheaper and easier to change the front lug pattern,Or find a different axle in in the size and bolt pattern you want.

Re: axle swap

Astro Van/Safari have the 5x5 bolt pattern, see if you can swap parts... or a 94-96 Impala / Caprice had the 5x5 and disc brakes....

Re: axle swap

Those axles are gonna be wider than the S-10. You can redrill the drum and flange, or convert to disc and order new axles with your pattern.

Re: axle swap

Its already a disc brake rear..just has a 5x4.75 pattern. Can you redrill the axle hub to a 5x5 or would that not be prudent in this juncture
