WTB - aux fuel tank sender dash emblem "Left Main Right"
I have a 72 Super 20 with 2 saddle tanks. My truck is missing the emblem that goes below the fuel sender selector switch located on the dash. Anyone have one they want to part with?

Like this? This is on my truck and is not for sale but was wondering if this is the one you are referring to.

Gable74,
I don't think yours is original. This one is on my 72 longhorn. I do believe someone here on the board had some of these made. If I find it I will post the link.

Re: WTB - aux fuel tank sender dash emblem "Left Main Right"
Mine is definately not original but I am pretty sure you could only get one AUX tank on these originally. The OP was asking for a switch with three positions (Left-Main-Right) so I just assumed he was not talking about factory plates or switches.

Re: WTB - aux fuel tank sender dash emblem "Left Main Right"
Richard2717, my switch is in the same position as yours but I have a camper special super 20, and have to 2 auxiliary tanks with the stainless steel fuel doors on each bedside. I believe your truck has the only true factory optioned single auxiliary fuel tank?

Re: WTB - aux fuel tank sender dash emblem "Left Main Right"
Both of my longhorns are C30 Custom Camper Supers and yes the tank was factory as it was listed on the spid. I seem to recall seeing that you could get dual aux. tanks on at least the longhorns, but mine was deleted for the optional tool box on one and the other only had one. The switch on the dash feels like it is a 3 position switch and the valve lever plate on the floor has main right and left on it as well. I think the decal in the 1st picture I posted was the only one on the dash from factory. This is obviously not to say you can't make or buy one to put on. I make signs for a living and could print a decal next time I am running some jobs on the printer.
Richard

Re: WTB - aux fuel tank sender dash emblem "Left Main Right"
Thanks for all your help, it looks like I will have to have one made since the one that came on it was most likely from the tank outfitter.
It would be nice to have one that looked like the factory Main/Aux sticker but had something along the lines of L Main R. I think whatever was there originally was a small plate since there are 2 pin holes by the switch. |
