How do you guys ship wheels??

I've got a set of 15x8 6-lug steelies that want to sell, but I'm daunted by the hassle of shipping them.

How do you guys ship wheels you've sold? Or, if you've bought them, how have they arrived at your door?

Boxes are gonna be expensive, which will add to the overall shipping costs. And, do you ship individually, or two per box?
I can't imagine anyone would be happy at getting un-boxed wheels.

What have you guys done?

Re: How do you guys ship wheels??

When I have received wheels they are usually boxed individually in thick cardboard with no packing material. The boxes are a tight fit around the wheel.

You can go to Discount Tire and see if they have any wheel boxes in the size you need ,,Then get some 48" zip ties and zip tie 2 together and ship That's what I did.

If they are clean and you are not worried about paint, UPS has a suitcase tag that can get zip tied through the valve stem hole. I have shipped quite a few this way with no problems. Still runs $25-$35/wheel depending on the distance.

HA! That's the first place I'm gonna take them.
I bought a set there, and then came across a second set like two weeks later, so now I've got more than I know what to do with.
I'm not even sure I need ONE set! But the price was right, and I thought I'd rather have them for the '62 K10 build and not need them, then need 'em and not have 'em.

Then I got the second set, and... well... here we are.
