Lightbulb Need some opinions regarding my 70 GMC Jimmy

My question is, Should I swap front clips on my 70 Jimmy and make a Chevy K5 Blazer? Or... Should I restore the Jimmy as a GMC and live with the 4 eyes in the front? I know there are alot of diehard GMC guys out there that would think I am crazy to even think of changing the looks of a GMC but...I have always been a Chevy guy. I have all the stuff to make this be a K5 clone. It would only take 3 or so hours to do the swap. Any input would be great. I plan to keep this ride as I need it to be my "boat hauler" and I don't plan on shelling out $50K on a new Yukon XL in the near future. If I was about to do that, i would be driving a new H2 Hummer, which has crossed my mind. I just like the old stuff so much better!
Now is your chance...Jimmy or K5?
Comments please!

i say if you want a chevy find somebody that wants a gmc and trade them and let somebody restore the Jimmy as there are fewer of them out there already.

The plastic on a chevy grill seems cheap to me. Plus, I am a sucker for chrome.
GMC all the way.

i would second the trade for a chevy k5, your heart seems to be set on it and i wouldnt condone the transformation to a jimmy like that. also you live in the pac northwest, rust free 4x4's grow on trees up there.

In all reality, it is your truck and you should do what ever you want. If you want to paint it passion purpal with red flames, go for it. But in reality, what ever you do may affect the value, and even though you may not want to sell it right now, one day you might want too. And even though the wrong grill won't hurt it's value like passion purple and red flames, many people will start to wonder why the front end was chainged, adn a front end collision will be the first thing to pop in there mind.

Just some food for though.
And Blue...shut uop, you know you just aren't cool enough to have a good looking grill on your trucks.

Stay with the GMC!!! I have always been a chevy man, but since I got my GMC it has grown on me! If you really want a bowtie, trade somebody for a Blazer.

when you look out the window do you want to see a bowtie or a foureye? It aint a chevy, but i would keep it a Jimmy for some reason. They are so close to being as cool as the blazer, but they are so rare.

If you did do the swap on the front end, Would you swap titles as well? I might change my vote then. When you paint it just paint the extra Jimmy fenders and set them out in the sun ever now and then....jk

Some one should start a poll: Will Phil Swap or will he not.....will

GMC....DUH! If you don't keep it a Jimmy then.... JK, it's your truck, screw it up if you want too NK (not kidding!).

Ok, now I feel guilty. I'm taking my 70 Jimmy and converting it to a 68 front end Jimmy.

Phil, you're in serious danger of recieving a "Boz-All" award if you change your front clip. And why's Longhorn Man using one of my stongest arguements for staying close to stock? Must be "common sense" came-a-knockin' :p

Boz-All sez "What's wrong with YOUR truck?"
