Where and how to mount Accuair Height sensors?
I have looked through several threads and cannot find what i am needing.
I have a 1966 Suburban. I am having trouble trying to figure out where to install the height sensors. I have stock trailing arms and stock a arms. Does anybody have pics of where and how they installed the sensors?

Re: Where and how to mount Accuair Height sensors?
Which sensors do you have?
The new style with 4 mounting holes? Or the old style with a metal arm an 1 mounting hole? This greatly changes where you can mount them. It's all about suspension "stroke" or travel at a given point. I helped member hot trux mount his on Ginger. Its best if you can cycle the suspension to figure out max drop and full extension. This includes with the wheels off the ground. (like on a lift) If you don't know these two,... you can easily break these expensive sensors.

I have the new style with the 4 holes.
I am glad you mentioned it. I was going to do up and down when on the ground! I will make sure that i do full droop on a lift to full compressed.

Re: Where and how to mount Accuair Height sensors?
The new 4 hole version gets you more options.
You need to figure out the total amount of suspension travel at your mounting point. With the new arms, they can be 1", 2", 3", or 4". Wth the suspension at the halfway point (or mid stroke), mount the sensor with the arm at midstroke. (If you use the 4" hole at the end of the arm,... raise the truck 2") This will allow you to measure how long the attachment rod needs to be. Clear as mud. Ha

But i get the picture. I am having trouble finding pictures of how the are mounted on stock suspension. All the pics seam to be on tubular arms.

You can drill the side of a stock a-arm also.

Re: Where and how to mount Accuair Height sensors?
Check out my suburban the first page shows where I originally mounted the rear sensors. Then numbers worked for full raise to drop but when jacked up they over extended. Go to page 2 and see my revised rear sensor install I have stock suspension and slam ss7 bags

Re: Where and how to mount Accuair Height sensors?
That looks good. Not sure about the angle of the vertical rod...possibly need longer stand offs on the cross member to prevent binding ?
Nice alternative to welding a tab on like I did. I chose to mount them on the back side to help protect them from road debris.

Re: Where and how to mount Accuair Height sensors?
These are mounted on the back side too. With the arm pointing to the frame.
I ran they thru their full arc and did not seam to be binding at any point.

Re: Where and how to mount Accuair Height sensors?
How far along are you with the rear mounts ? The calibration setup is amazing to watch. The Accuair system set my truck exactly where i wanted it for ride height at the number 2 setting.
