Re: Brake Booster.com
I had mine done by him and have only good things to say. Because I was in a rush he was even able to find a core with the right stampings and codes to exactly match my truck, which is important, because we have brackets and stuff that require longer studs on the master, and the parts-store unit didn't even allow me to bolt up the master.
He was good with email, quick response. Price wasn't that much worse than a replacement, but the quality is hugely different (I won't bother posting photos of the ugly grey painted one I got from Schucks first). Make sure you get it polished. It's extra, but they are ALL pitted unless and until properly polished out, and that takes time (I think he sends it out). Picture of mine is below - ignore the lid on the MC, that's just rattle-can, but the finish on the booster is nice and correct.

Re: Brake Booster.com
Thanks for the info. I was surfing for Brake Booster info and came across his website. Sitting at a light my brake pedal starts sinking so its time for brake redo. I was thinking of getting one of those 8/9 inch master /booster combos but my wheels started turning when I saw this website. The pic is what is on my truck now which is the original untouched master/booster.

Another question I've been wondering - are guys using a special paint or coating on the MC to prevent rusting? Is one of the coatings on the BrakeBooster.com website going to be more resistant to rust and fluid? |

Re: Brake Booster.com
It ain't gold. What do you normally pay for Zinc Dichromate vs. what he's charging? Or do you just think that process in general is expensive (ie: not that he's more expensive than others)?
Just FYI in my original post I said "longer studs on the master" but I meant "longer studs on the booster", but it's too late to edit it now...
