Very Neat look wood Bed
I was doing a bit of research on bed wood so I can get ready to install mine over the next 2 weeks and came across this bed. Plain plywood sheet, but never seen one like this. Damn cool if you ask me.

Re: Very Neat look wood Bed
I did this to my Studebaker truck about a year and a half ago. I used a photo of the national park sign at Bonneville.

Re: Very Neat look wood Bed
Jacob, my buddy did a plywood sheet for his son's '72 about 12-15 years ago, and it worked out great for him. He used the truck as a parts runner truck for his dad's auto repair business. I think for your build, I would go with a more traditional bed wood kit, and do a really nice stain. I ordered a pine kit from Bedwood Products and will do a torch distress and dark stain.

Will do. As soon as it comes in and I make some initial headway on the finish, I'll post up some photos.

Re: Very Neat look wood Bed
I saw an old Ford on the internet with license plates on the floor, and it inspired this bed in my '66 GMC

Re: Very Neat look wood Bed
Plywood would be easy if it came 97" long. Or maybe special order to grab a sheet before it goes through the trim saws?
