Painting Color #512

I have a 1965 C10 that I plan on painting the original color. The ID tag lists the color as 542. My understanding that 542 is a two-tone consisting of 512 maroon and off-white . I have done a search of the site and have found threads that list the maroon color as maroon poly and maroon metallic. Does anyone know which is correct?

Re: Painting Color #512

They are the same. Maroon Poly simply means maroon color combined with something else, in this case aluminum particles. Hence, maroon metallic.
