Hello all
I have been on this forum for a little while - always willing to help !!! i have had my 57 TF truck since '83 it had a stock 350 impala motor and the rest was all stock . Well!!!!!!!! On the way up to the mts . for a relaxing day the motor started smokin very badly and losing power goin uphill --- was just able to turn it around and ''coast'' all the way back down ( doin 80+ ) to cool it down -which it did - well bk on flat ground and it started bk up i could only go about 20 mph .So stated a v v long ''restoration '' As life goes on and we fight our battles in life and being on the road - the truck has taken me a v v long time to be where it is now .believe it or not its close to being back rollin on the road . Right now the truck has a 69 firebird ifs clip --- motor is about to go in - its a 375 hp 350 ------had a 383 but sold it trans is 700R4 - all corvette internals and the rear suspention is all 85 vette . I dont have alot of pictures but this is a couple the last picture is my favorite --- my dog shelby who has since passed --- that pict always reminds me that we have to have a dog !!!or 6 i always thought she was sayin ''hmmmmm i am just not sure what year this is 56 or 57'' i am still at it as much as i can ---- it'll happen .......... |

Re: Gittin there
I have a question. It looks like there is a transverse leaf spring on the back side of the rearend. Is that used to locate the rearend? Does that interfere with the "spring" action you get from your coilovers?
