Tint Uninstalled Windows or Not
..Got all my glass out, cleaned with 0000 wool, and the chrome, looking real good (except windshield, gotta replace it) What do you think about having them tinted Before they are install? (I don't build back I just disassemble my vehicles and clean up what I can and leave the rest to the pro's)...Also, just curious..how does one determine inside/outside on the 1967 small back window? Thanks

Re: Tint Uninstalled Windows or Not
I do not think it would make a difference which way you do it. A good tint guy can do a good job in or out. The rear glass should have the markings where you read it from outside.

Re: Tint Uninstalled Windows or Not
I'm thinking it could easily get knicked up doing it before hand, especially door glass. IMO

I tinted my back window before I put it back in. Be careful when putting the rubber seal on the glass that you don't peel up the tint.

Re: Tint Uninstalled Windows or Not
If you do tint Windows before installing, let them 'cure' then cover them with painters tape to minimize scratching or tearing.

Re: Tint Uninstalled Windows or Not
A good window seal will fit tighter than a gnat's azz. I see the film being damaged on install. I also wouldn't want the film into the seal and how would you know where to trim to keep it out? Pros do windows in vehicles all day long. Stick with that for known results
