OEM 12 bolt diff cover
My diff cover had been overtightened..a lot. To the point that you can see the bolt shoulder circle imprinted on the inside of the cover. Some of the shoulders had cut into the cover. I can spend some time hammering it back into shape but with the cutting into the cover, I think its better to replace.
Anyone know of a good source? Ive looked at all the typical sites already. I can't find any with the factory raised ribbing between bolt holes, and the curled back flange. No decent junk yards in the area. Last edited by geunther; 03-14-2016 at 05:28 AM. |

Re: OEM 12 bolt diff cover
There are aftermarket covers available. If you decide to go that direction, beware, the 12 bolt truck covers are different from the car units.

Re: OEM 12 bolt diff cover
Posted a WTB in classifieds. Trying to keep it original. Aware of the difference between trucks and cars but would rather be told 100 times than not know. That would have been frustrating to have bought one of those by mistake.
