Re: parts prices $$$$$$$$$$$$
When I was buying parts for my trucks back in the eighties and nineties you could base the price as 10X the original dealer advertised prices. Course today there's not as much parts, therefore, the prices are higher. Makes me feel old when I see listings like that or look at craigslist ads for trucks that I consider junk asking for thousands.

Re: parts prices $$$$$$$$$$$$
Sellers come in many flavors.
There are those that know their stuff along with it's value, to those who are clueless about both. Sometimes I see items listed as if the seller is patiently waiting for a single wealthy buyer for whom cost is no object to come along and hit the BIN button. Those buyers ARE out there, I guess. Remember, anyone can ask any price, but market value is determined by what stuff SELLS for on a regular basis. |

Re: parts prices $$$$$$$$$$$$
Parts prices will continue to climb just look how much they have gone up in a few short years . The huge jump will be when the '67s hit the 50 year mark ! Every single Chevy dealer across the US will want a stock 1967 sitting in their showroom just because of how popular this body style is currently . I really believe the price of the 67-72 will jump threefold and continue to climb for years afterward . Buy them while you can still find the good deals .

Re: parts prices $$$$$$$$$$$$
Ive noticed some extremely high prices on "NOS" things on our own parts board recently. I get getting top dollar, but double or more on items that have recently sold.
No I cant give specifics (board rules and all) but when the stuff doesn't sell the prices will come down =) Ive purchased a ton of NOS stuff myself lately (for personal use), buy in bulk you get a better deal lol.
