81-87 cab on a 76 frame?

I've got quite a bit of rust on my 76 K10 cab and instead of fixing it i might be able to get an 81-87 cab from a C10 as a donor. Question I have is would the cab fit my 76 frame or would any modifications needed to be done? I know i'll have to cut a hole in the floor for the 4wd column so far. Any help y'all can provide is appreciated as always.

Re: 81-87 cab on a 76 frame?

the cab will fit BUT you need to use the 76 body bushings. You wil have to modify the C cab to accept the trans hump which is pretty easy cut the floor and drill mounting holes
