71 mirror placement

I have just about finished my body restoration on my 71 Cheyenne, i just have one problem. I got brand new doors as my old ones are shot, but the new doors dont have any holes for the mirrors. Anyone have any measurements i can go on for installation? Im using the OEM 71 mirrors from Southern Kentucky Classics

Re: 71 mirror placement

Bought a correct set of mirrors for a 72 from Brothers - proper templates came with the mirrors.

Re: 71 mirror placement

Do said templates give measurements to where on the door they belong?

Talking Re: 71 mirror placement

Somebody will likely chime in with the info from the assembly manual, as it gives specific measurements, I would love to help, but my manual is at home.

Re: 71 mirror placement

Search the forum for "Mirror Holes" the dimensions for pretty much any mirror have been posted before. If you are using the sport mirrors -- see here:

Re: 71 mirror placement

Do a google image search, there is a GM print online that shows the locating dimensions.
