mr.gasket tranny dipstick
I just recently bought a tranny dipstick from mr gasket for a th350. On my original dipstick at the add mark it reads add one pint, but the new one says add one quart. The lines are the same length apart. I take it that my original one is correct. Has anyone else noticed this?

I'm sick of all this poor quality over seas
crap that these "american" companies peddle to us now. It's getting harder and harder to find quality USA made products anymore.Hell I even have to really look over the parts that I get from local NAPA store.Wasn't that many years ago that you didn't have to worry. |

1 quart is twice the amount of 1 pint.
I have the Lokar dipstick that Tim spoke of on my engine oil and my tranny fluid dipsticks. They are really nice pieces, but they are not cheap. You can probably buy 5-6 Mr. Gasket dipsticks for the price of one Lokar. But IMO, they are worth it for he looks and the leak free design. here's a link to their web site www.lokar.com ------------------ Keep On Truckin' Shane slecroix@bellsouth.net Athens, Alabama [This message has been edited by Shane (edited March 29, 2002).] |

i'm glad someone else noticed that mr gasket is cheap
mr.gasket and accel are the same company same website and all anyway i bought an accel remanned hei distributor and super coil. it burned out the module after about ten minutes, so i took it back and checked voltage for spikes the second time had a pretty steady 13.0 volts (they recomend 12.8) samething happened so after 3 tries i took it back and got my money back by the way they make mallory distributors too
