Hello from Australia, new owner C10 1970
Hello from Australia,
Proud new owner of a 1970 C10 swb. Specs350 3 speed 350 auto The car needs some love, but that's half the fun. I have already done exhaust mods and I am looking to turn it into a great cruse car. Body seams ok. Chassis also. The suspension needs work, but nothing to bad. Every time I drive it I smile, so I think it's love, ha ha This is my first USA truck and so far very happy. You guys are very lucky over there . Question Where are some good parts supplies? Does anybody know of any other Australians on this site that have similar cars? Anybody have and chassis diagrams, panel diagrams, How do I post more than one picture? I look forward to hearing from everybody. Regards Ben |

Re: Hello from Australia, new owner C10 1970
Welcome to the board! I'm pretty sure there's at least one other Aussie on here, but I can't remember his name.
As far as parts suppliers, board members are a pretty good bet because 1. They use the parts they sell, and 2. Their reputations are made or broken on the board, and 3. Board members are generally really good guys and gals. |

Look for a fella in the members list that goes by Russ.W. I believe his project is called Wrongside. There is also a Kiwi by the name of Billhilly He says he lives on an island just to your right.

Re: Hello from Australia, new owner C10 1970
Welcome Australia........Completely off topic, but I hear Mazda RX2s are quite a collectors item in Australia. I had one, it was my first car. Funnest car I've ever driven, by far. Guess I shouldn't have rolled it huh? Anyway, rare as can be in the states, I haven't seen one in 30+ years........BUT........yesterday I was getting ready for work, there's a road above our house......I've heard that engine before and look up.......SNAP!........It was gone in a flash, but there's no mistaking that rear-end.
Wouldn't mind owning another someday, but locating parts.........kind of a deterrent.

I was an awful driver in that car. Swing around corners on two wheels, 145 MPH @ night. Probably saved my life by rolling it on a dirt road & 35 MPH.

Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs. |
