3/4 intermediate coupling HELP

I have searched and searched and found lots but no real answer. most posts were a bit old. I have a 71 GMC C15 and am rebuilding the steering from wheel to box. The intermediate coupling [housing] has over the years been beat with hammers to a point where I'm not sure if it can be properly be used. for the life of me I can't understand why I can not find this part as the 1" spline is widely available both as a rebuild kit and by it's self. I am hoping someone can direct me to a source or as a good used one they could part with [this is the coupling that attaxches to the column not the steering box]. Thanks

Re: 3/4 intermediate coupling HELP

I just rebuilt mine, but it was in pretty good shape. Haven't seen any new or repop ones anywhere. You might be heading for a junkyard...

Why would someone beat that poor defenseless coupler with hammers?

Re: 3/4 intermediate coupling HELP

After some black-smithing I was able to get it to accept the new seal and retaining clip. Greased everything up and reassembled and seems to be all good now. Next, toe install new steering box and reinstall the steering wheel with a working horn button. Thanks everyone for the feedback.
